Banner Ad Campaigns

Fast Response Click Throughs

Unlike Search Engine Optimisation, this area yields a speedy return on your investment. We provide design services for effective banner ad compaigns and research ideal websites for increased exposure to your campaign.

Banner Ads

Banner Ads - Those graphical strips, first introduced by HotWired in 1995 because the shape suited their page design, are now an industry standard. The click-through rate can be relatively low - the average is around 0.4% - but it is not on click-throughs alone that their effectiveness should be assessed. Consider that every time someone sees your ad, they are being made aware of your brand. In addition, when current customers see your ad they are more likely to feel good about the association and will be encouraged or reminded to bring you repeat business, whether they click or not.

Banner Ads Block Options

Banner ads are paid placement advertising. Banner Ads are an ideal mechanism for enriching and generating brand awareness on the Internet.

Most banner ads are sold in blocks of 1000 page impressions. This means if you purchased, say, 30,000 page impressions - at an average price of 25 per thousand, the campaign would cost 30x25 (750). Pages containing your ad could be presented from the server 30,000 times during the course of the campaign.

Banner Ads Click Throughs

Another - although more expensive - model is payment for click-throughs. That is, you pay an agreed amount for a fixed number of direct clicks on your ad and the campaign runs until the total of clicks have been made.

In both cases, the site on which you advertise will most likely be able to provide statistics displaying details of the campaign. From this and your own site logs, click-through effectiveness can also be assessed.

Effective Banner Ad Campaigns

Effective banner ad campaigns should consider:

  • What is the vision of the brand?
  • What is the business objective?
  • Who are the target audience?
  • What personality is to be conveyed?
  • Where will the banners be running?
  • What are the mandatory elements?
